EPA Causing Headaches for Municipals in Indiana

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has been on the prowl again through the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). IDEM is currently performing random PCB Investigations to all the municipals in the State of Indiana under the Toxic Substances Control Act Notice of Inspection.

We are not sure how many municipal have been hit, but we know that they are out there and we have been informed that their initial target is the municipals. We have also been warned that they plan to move on to the Electric Cooperatives.

For more information, or if you have been investigated by IDEM for your PCB disposals, please notify the IMEA by calling (317) 877-5600.
